Verses I would NOT have written had I gotten the protestant “memo”! 1 Corinthians addition

Well IF (noticed I tried to use a big IF) that’s true, then it would seem to me that St. Paul must have missed a whole bunch of memos from the home office. I mean if I were St. Paul, and I was the “consumate Protestant”, rejecting the Catholic Church, holding up doctrines such as “the bible alone”, “faith alone” , “once saved always saved”, “there is no purgatory”, “the Eucharist is only a symbol”, “pastors are free to marry” and so many others… then I would have NEVER written verses that seemed to suggest anything to the contrary of my beliefs.

Why The Cross?

Why The Cross?

Why? Why did God have to take on flesh and dwell among us? Why did he have to suffer and die in order to redeem us? Answer, LOVE, a complete gift of self… it’s what the first Adam failed to do, and the last Adam did to perfection! Much of this talk is based upon Dr. Scott Hahn’s work in “First Comes Love”, and “A Father Who Keeps His Promises”. I would encourage you to read both of those books for MUCH more detail. The video & audio quality is not the best however, due to “user error”… I failed to record the audio… this is now the only copy I have of this talk given to the St. Thomas More Society at the University of Houston Law Center.
